The International Career Employment Center a not-for-profit corporation whose business is to identify and describe international career positions with employers in all sectors of the job market.
The organization was founded by Carlyle Hystad in 1991 to help fill the need for better and more timely information on career opportunities for international professionals. Mr. Hystad worked for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission in its international relations division; was employed in an executive position in the White House Office of Management and Budget, dealing with international export promotion and trade matters and other commerce programs; and worked as a consultant dealing with international energy issues.
Our goal is to make it easy for international professionals to keep abreast of all current job opportunities in their field. We collect information on current international job openings with governments, government contractors, United Nations agencies and other intergovernmental organizations, private voluntary organizations working overseas, corporations involved in international trade and finance, engineering firms, associations, foundations, student exchange organizations, universities, and state governments. We present that information to job seekers in a clear and concise format.
We are not an employment agency, and we do not collect any placement fees from any source. We do not charge employers to list their job openings in our newspapers, so we can report on all vacancies. We rely primarily on sales of International Career Employment Weekly to meet our operating costs. Many employers have come to rely on International Career Employment Weekly as their primary means of advertising their international job openings.
