For the past 30 years, World Education Services (WES) has been at the forefront of international credential evaluation, helping immigrants and foreign students alike to make the often difficult transition to a new environment by providing fair, accurate and reliable evaluations of foreign academic credentials. Each evaluation report completed by WES facilitates the integration of the applicant into the academic and professional systems of the United States and Canada. This has always been the mission of WES as a not-for-profit and 501-C-3 service-based organization.
With more than 100 full-time employees, WES is the largest international credential evaluation service in the United States and Canada, processing applications from virtually every country in the world. WES was established in 1974 and maintains its headquarters in New York City. Additional WES offices are located in Miami, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. We also administer a separate Canadian evaluation service in Toronto. WES is governed by an independent board of trustees. Trustees hail from diverse professional backgrounds and hold prominent positions in business, higher education and the not-for-profit sector. The board functions to help guide WES in carrying out its overall mission. Our credential evaluators are accomplished professionals with extensive experience and training in US-and-international education systems. WES staff members are recognized authorities in their field who have authored numerous publications and articles about credential evaluation and education in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North America.
