The proliferation of computer technology into society has created a societal imperative to redirect prematurely retired computers properly and to help teach our children how to utilize technology.
The Computers For Schools Program is committed to realizing these imperatives by creating and maintaining extraordinary partnerships to assist schools in attaining the technology they need; expanding and improving education for our entire nation.
A vital part of CFSP is the association of refurbishers, Computers For Schools Association (CFSA). CFSA is a non-profit professional association of organizations involved in the management of refreshed (functional systems replaced by up-to-date equipment) computers and their placement into our nationā??s schools and educational institutions.
Without CFSA, corporations miss the opportunity to effectively give back to their communities by donating their retired computers to schools. If the computers are given directly to schools, the schools rebuild the equipment themselves, a complex process that diverts school staff, administrators and their resources away from their primary responsibilities as educators. In addition, for many schools, this program is the only practical way of obtaining restored computers that are sufficient for their classrooms.
The Program is established to provide schools with computers needed to enhance instruction and to meet the needs of employers for qualified workers. Facilitate the donation of equipment that could be better utilized in schools, and to help businesses establish ongoing donation programs. Provide equipment to train students in vocational computer repair, and dramatically improve the quality of computers in schools.
How To DonateThe Computers for Schools Program welcomes contribution of quality computer equipment and support dollars to accomplish our refurbishing work from donors across the nation.
