The Telecommunication Research Center is a multidisciplinary research center that includes researchers from electrical engineering, computer science and engineering, materials, electronics, and bioeng
One of the major research thrusts in the TRC is in the general area of physical layer communications, specifically in wireless digital communications. The communications systems program at ASU has grown tremendously within the past several years. Currently, there are seven faculty members and over 40 M.S. and Ph.D. students whose research involves physical layer communication issues. The main communication systems areas covered within TRC are : Wireless and mobile communications, signal processing for communications, information theory, coding , and communication circuits and implementation.
NetworkingThe Internet. broadband networks, and wireless networks are essential information infrastructures for modern living. Networking research is multidisciplinary, involving hardware, software, algorithms, protocol, management, performance analysis, and networ
Mixed Singal & Rf IcThe Electrical Engineering Department has a strong research program in mixed-signal and RFIC design. This is an interdisciplinary group between faculty in TRC and CSSER ( Center for Solid State Electronics ). The mission of the mixed-signal group contains
Electromagnetics & AntennasTo pursue and conduct innovative and cutting-edge research in emerging, critical and enabling technologies in Antennas, Scattering and Computational ElectroMagnetics (CEM) that is in concert with the national research agenda and government initiatives.
Rf And MicrowaveThe RF and Microwave research group within the TRC is focussed on developing new technologies that promise to bring reduced cost and increased performance to the next generation of microwave and wireless devices for commercial and military applications.
Singal Processing & MultimediaThis program supports fundamental and application-driven research for a variety of hardware and software systems. Research activities are hosted by the ASU digital signal processing (DSP) laboratory and include digital filter design, adaptive filtering
Internet BusinessThe Cisco Systems Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG) helps customers turn their technology investments into strategic assets that increase productivity, reduce costs, and create new revenue sources. To accomplish this, Cisco IBSG draws upon a decade
