The Center for Automotive Research, a nonprofit organization, is focused on a wide variety of important trends and changes related to the automobile industry and society at the international, federal, state and local levels. CAR conducts industry research, develops new methodologies, forecasts industry trends, advises on public policy, and sponsors multi-stakeholder communication forums. CAR staff possess expertise in manufacturing systems, economics and business policies, transportation systems, supply chain relationships and general policy assessment. Our research studies investigate how international, federal and local issues influence the industry, and how the industry affects society in such areas as employment, the environment and the consumer. These studies are available to the public.
CAR maintains strong relationships with industry, government agencies, universities, research institutes, labor organizations, and other major stakeholders of the international automotive community.
The Center for Automotive Research is involved in the research of significant issues that relate to the future direction of the global automotive industry. CAR`s automotive industry research is performed by distinct groups and programs. The annual Management Briefing Seminars--of which the Automotive seminar is the flagship--has developed into a premier industry event. More than 1,200 industry representatives will attend the week-long series of seminars.

Automotive News World CongressThe CAR conference team also manages the registration logistics for the Automotive News World Congress. This annual event takes place concurrently with the North American International Auto Show in Detroit each January.
