Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings composer Howard Shore has been dropped from the remake of King Kong by Rings supremo Peter Jackson.
Jackson has brought in a new composer less than two months before the film opens after deciding he and Shore had 'differing creative aspirations' for King Kong's soundtrack.
Shore's to be replaced by James Newton Howard, composer of Batman Begins and Treasure Planet.
Jackson says that he and Shore reached the decision amicably. The King Kong project reunites many of Lord of the Rings multi-Oscar winning team, including 'Gollum' - the actor Andy Serkis - who has modelled for the computer-generated ape.Classic FM is the place where you can find out about great live events happening all around the country.
