Located on the West coast of Canada, the Province of British Columbia is home to some of the worlds best ski and snowboarding and arguably the largest ski snowboard resort in the world, Whistler-Blackcomb at over 7,000 skiable acres (2,800 hectares). Framed by the Pacific Ocean and Coast Mountains on the west and by the Rocky Mountains on the east, the snow is so plentiful in British Columbia at the high altitudes it's no wonder why many glaciers exist here.

British Columbia will immediately contribute $500,000 toward relief efforts in South Asia in response to this weekend’s devastating earthquake, Premier Gordon Campbell said.
