Utah’s 13 powder playgrounds have invested millions of dollars in on-mountain improvements this summer, from adding new lifts and lodges to expanded programs and terrain parks. Here’s what’s new this

At 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 14th Loveland Ski Area is scheduled to become the first resort in Colorado, as well as the first in the United States, to open with continuous operation for the sixth consecutive season.

"The recent push from mother nature in combination with our snowmaking efforts has enabled Loveland Ski Area to kick off the 05/06 season," said John Sellers, Marketing Director. The opening will be comprised of one 1,000 vertical foot run with top to bottom, side to side coverage. The minimum snow base will vary between 18 and 21 inches.

"The next two days we will be busy grooming the snow we have and making snow at the base and in selected areas
